Abstract

While our education may have encouraged us to pursue interdisciplinary subjects, we may find ourselves having to forge our own career to continue doing so in industries that are still segmented. In this talk, Kitty will be sharing her experience navigating a path forward in multiple fields and creating art while being a scientist. She will show example projects that demonstrate how creativity and rational reasoning help each other grow, why it is necessary to learn and cultivate both sides, how science can be communicated through art, and more. Of course, she will show all these through her artwork!
