Supported by the Eddleman Center for Quantum Innovation, the workshop was organized by Stephen Wilson and Ram Seshadri. The other participants were Xi Dai (Hong Kong University of Science and Technology), Claudia Felser (MPI–CPFS, Dresden, Germany), Sylvie Hébert (Laboratoire CRISMAT, Caen, France), Vidya Madhavan (University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign),

Most participants reached the Château de Balleroy by Thursday evening and the intense programs of discussions started Friday morning. Despite each speaker having 45 minutes, the discussions were intense and greatly enhanced the success of the meeting. It helped that almost all the speakers had some prior connection, which decreased any barrier for communication. It is anticipated that several exchanges of personal and new collaborations will ensure as an outcome of the workshop, besides new scientific ideas.
Highlights of the event were the formal dinner on Friday which was joined by Eddleman trustee Anis Garci, and the trip to Mt. St. Michel on Saturday afternoon, led by a very capable and energetic guide.
